1. New Lister [1]
Good morning, I am looking for the WOOD family who were living in Worcester in 1841. According to the paperwork [1st page of a Bible] I've just acquired, their address was in CARDEN Street Worcester during the early period of the 1839 - 1842. It's too late to order the 1841 Census film as our film ordering through the LDS has closed until to New Year. Would SKS have this in their collection and can look at this for me. I can reciprocate if they have an address for any of the Greater London census. J
2. RE: [WOR] Names of Evesham around 1892?? [1]
Joanne It would appear in 1891 George BOSWELL was not at home - Ann lists that she is Married but was living with son Frank in Offenham! George may have died and Ann listed herself as Married, I have noticed some widows do this. I will send a file of a scanned image, of the relevant page. off list. hth Helen New Zealand -----Original Message----- From: Joanne Hardy [mailto:johardy@ntlworld.com] Sent: Monday, 1 November 2004 4:07 a.m. To: ENG-WORCESTER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [WOR] Names of Evesh

16. Posting Interests [1]
Greetings from a new lister on the Isle of Wight. Am I right in thinking that King's Norton and Balsall Heath were originally in Worcestershire? Perhaps someone may have an interest in or have come across some member of the following family. William Henry OUTLAW was the brother of my 2xgreat grandfather. He married Francis Emily Brokenshir at St Catherine's Church, Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight in 1856. They subsequently moved to Worcestershire and several children were born at Claines, but by 1881, Wi

21. Bromsgrove Look-ups? [1]
Hi all, After recently discovering that my 3x Great-grandfather was born in Bromsgrove, my attention has switched there!. His name is James ASHWELL and he was born c1800. He had a brother Richard who was a few years older, and they had both moved to Walsall/ Bloxwich by 1818 and were non-conformists. It's possible that their parents were John and Sarah Ashwell (nee Thomas). I'm now hoping that SKS will have seen an "ASHWELL" in an early census, or Church records in Bromsgrove to give me a

24. RE: [WOR] Yardley in the 19th Century [1]
David Yardley was indeed part of Worcestershire, until * Kings Norton, Moseley Northfield, Selly Oak Area was absorbed into Birmingham City c 1909. * Yardley was made part of Warwickshire earlier than 1909 in fact I think before 1850 - but I am not sure of the exact date, and Genuki is down, so no use directing you there for the information. Hopefully someone else will have the exact dates. Happy hunting Helen New Zealand -----Original Message----- From: David Parkes [mailto:d_parkes@yahoo.com] Se
