Robyn I have entered into this mystery a little late, only when looking up something else on the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey for the Whittlsey area did I come across Rundle Bridge. It is spans Bevills Leam (River) and situated 1 mile west of Ponds Bridge. It's name on more recent maps is Tebbitt's Bridge Hope this helps. Does anyone have any further information on the Garner family mentioned. My interest in the Garners stems from a GG Grandmother Jane Garner born in 1824 in Ponds Bridge. Bri

I got one, too. If you know how, look at "all headers" in the e- mail. You won't see Rootsweb listed as the sender. That puppy came out of Coulandra.net in Australia with a forged "reply to:" address. 18. RE: [FENS] Australian emigrant ships [1]
What I think that I am seeing in the small sample that I have viewed so far is that groups of Cantabrigians came to Australia together on the same ship. In the 230 people on the Argyle in 1852, 54 were from Cambridgeshire. I want to look at other ships that had Cambridge people on them to test my theory. I suspect that they were recruited together by the same agent and then went together. Dear Robyn While you're looking around at these immigrant ships, I would like to mention the following little story to you on the off-chance that you may come across something that connects with it. This story was handed down in my family from my maternal grandmother. An ancestor of my grandmother, (unfortunately no names or dates but a family well before my grandmother's own time) decided to immigrate to Australia. The husband went on ahead and got established - and the wife and 3 or 4 children follow
