Hello John,
A cousin has been looking into our family tree. I'll see if he has
any information on them. I do know that he has traced pretty well all
the Huntingdonshire/cambridshire Burbridges to Warboys but hasn't got
back further than 1700. I happen to have the sad distinction of being
the last Burbridge to have been born in Warboys and there are none
living there now.

Hello Graham
I have ancestors that lived in Hill Row, Haddenham, Cambs - I don't know if
it is the same as your Hill Row.

Hello
I am trying to find a baptism record for Elizabeth JARVIS who is my 3 x Grt
Grandmother
She married William Cox ANCHOR in 1797 in Whittlesey
She was aged 64 in the 1841 census, and 73 in the 1851 census
So by my reckoning she was born in about 1777.
If anyone can shed any light on her baptism, i'd be most grateful for your
help.
Thanks

Hi,
I am trying to locate the christening of my Great-great Grandfather, George
Frederick BALLS (1878-1962), but am stuck and am in need of advice.
George Frederick BALLS was born 25th August 1878, eldest son of Henry BALLS
and Elizabeth Ann BALLS nee TROLLEY, in Walsoken, CAM/NFK. I have gone
through the Parish registers for Walsoken church for 1878 and the years
following, but have been unable to locate a christening. His parents, Henry
and Elizabeth Ann were married in the Providence Chapel in Wisbec
Dear Sally,
If I am not asking too much, could you please have a look for HIAM and
OFFLEY for me?
Both are established Cambridgeshire names but I don't know if they have a
Tilney Connection.
Regards - and many thanks.

Fridaybridge used to come under Elm.
Eversden is either Great or Little.
Pass on Tolomos Drive.
Hope that helps.

Hi David
You've sent an email addressed to a Jim to me, Jane. When I first read it I
was very confused - who was this Shirley King.
I do have the March Pr's though if you still need a lookup though. And I am
researching the Ankers & Bates from Whittlesey.
Take care

Hi Jim:
Your reply to David ANKER was very interesting. I am also researching
Walloons in the fens. I did want to explain if you don't already know that
many of these
northern France Walloons had names that sounded Dutch. If you look on a
modern map of Pays de Calais/du Nord, the area of France that was once part
of Flanders, you will see names that seem to be Dutch. Also, a lot of these
drainage people fled from northern France when the Inquisition came in to
the area about 1558 and went north into The Ne

Hello
If anyone is knowledgeable about the Walloons and Huguenots in the Fens, I
would be very grateful if you would email me as I would like to explore some
possible theories I have relating to my ancestors.
Basically I am trying to prove that the name HANCAR in Hatfield and Sandtoft
in the 1620s - 1670s, can be linked to the name ANKOR / ANCHOR / ANKER which
first appeared in Whittlesey in around 1700.
There is also reference to HANCAR in the Thorney French Register.
I have some christian names wh

Sorry List, had meant to send my response privately to David Anker but forgot to change the address line. However, I see
the message rekindled interest in the Anker surname which has been rather dormant, so this is sort of a half-hearted
apology.
In response to Carol, my family name Daw(e) is from Newfoundland/Devon (not the Fens) thanx for asking.. My musings of
Anker being Dutch are strictly that. I agree, the Pas de Calais area especially around Lille and Roubaix being part of
Flanders and the surname
I received this message yesterday but the names are not ones I am familiar
