Coleen,
In Fife's Ewing in Early America (pg. 272), it says that Robert's first wife
was Elizabeth Davis (children: Elizabeth and John) and his second wife was
Maria Smith (children: Marie, Jane and Thomas). This information, including
information about Robert's ancestry is posted on the Clan Ewing WebSite
(www.ClanEwing.org) at:

Cheers ... Bill

Carrie Selina married 1791 EWING, Robert 2nd? Have never been able to
trace her origins. Was she born KY? VA?

if this is her middle or maiden name.
Any clues out there? Thanks so much

If anyone knows of her whereabout please let me know. Thanks
I looked up the Robert Ewing who married Caroline Maslin. He was born in
1793.
So I don't think he is your man. Back to square one. We'll keep looking.

There is a Robert Ewing listed in the IGI that has wife Caroline Mastlin
Carrie is nickname for Caroline---- Could this be the puzzle piece???
Good Luck
In Margaret Ewing Fife's book, "Ewing in Early America" she has Caroline
Maslin as third wife of Robert Ewing and their daughter Caroline married John
Vernou Bouvier.
Grandmother of Jackie Kennedy. Very interesting reading. You can find
Margaret's book on Clan Ewing in America's web site www.ClanEwing.org
Hope this is your missing puzzle. Jill at JEwingspit@aol.com

The Josiah H. and Elizabeth (Ewing) Hawkins family group appears to be
treated in material available via the Clan Ewing in America WebSite
(www.ClanEwing.org). If you go to this Website and use the WebSite search
capabilities (available on its home page) you'll get several links to

In addition, you should do a Google Search for "hawkins josiah". Among other
things, it'll give a link to information about the burial of Josiah in
