A few years ago, I tracked down a wonderful lady who would have been
my mother's second cousin. She told me a few things about my
Farrells. One of the stories that she told was about her mother's
'kidnapping'. I'm hoping that someone will recognize this story and
contact me with more Farrell info.
John Farrell was born in 1851 in Dysart/Tisrara, Roscommon. He was
the son of Judith (Flynn) and James Farrell. There were a few other
children, Anne (Gately), Bernard, Michael
I'd like to welcome the few more "cousins" who I have noticed subscribed to this list in the last couple of weeks. I have been somewhat preoccupied
and I am getting a little behind here.
For those of you lurking in the background, please don't be shy. We are not
a large group and some of us have access to records that might be of interest to you. You may not get an answer right away, but I'm sure most of
us store incoming querries until we have a chance to look them up with our own records. I personally hav

My maternal grandfather, Luke Farrell, was from Ballymahon, Co. Longford,
Ireland. He came to America in approx. 1905. He married Catherine Flynn
from Co. Leitrim at Sandy Hook, NJ in 1917. Luke and Catherine had 4
daughters, Dorothy, Anne, Catherine, and Eleanor. They lived in South

Hello,
I'm looking for any connections to my Wisconsin/Minnesota Farrell line. I
have little information at the moment, but I'll share what I have in hopes
that this connects with someone.
My great-grandfather, James Farrell, was born in Ireland in approximately
1840. He emigrated to the United States, and we know that by 1880 he was
living in St. Joseph (St. Croix County), Wisconsin. He married Ellen Radigan
(or Raddigan/Ratigan/Rhatigan), who was born in NY in approximately 1858.

I am looking for information on an Edward Thomas Farrell, born approximately
1870-1885 NY (or Ireland?). Married Jenny Larsen (b. 1886) in 1904-5. Two
sons: Leonard Jerome Farrell, b. 1906, Bronx, NY and Edward Thomas Farrell
(my father) , b. 1909, Bronx, NY.
Can I post a jpg. image of one of my Farrells? If not then may I say
that I have a jpg. image of a Thomas Farrell that I am trying to find
out more on. The picture was taken in Los Angeles in 1916. It is of
three men and three women identified as : Jim Fahy and wife and Don and
wife and Jim's sister Mrs. Holden and Uncle Tom Farrell.
Thank you.
