Hope you don't mind me responding to the whole list,
Signal is a very unusual first name, I don't think I have ever come across it before in the Irish records in the International Genealogical Index.
I have no information on American records on hand for our families as my own
search has been concentrated in Canada, Australia and Ireland. We literally have "cousins" from all corners of the world on this list, so hopefully we
can help each other out.
We have a couple of FERRILL's in our group, hopefully this
I have to apologize for lurking in the background while our listserver
switched over, I have been somewhat preoccupied with work. I don't know
off hand who all "survived" the transfer and I am not up to speed on
all the details of our new home, but I have noticed a few additional
subscribers on line. They must be wondering if there really is a Farrell
listserv and if so, is there anyone on it?
We had over 45 Farrell "cousins" on line before MAISER got spammed to death
and there wasn't a lot of chatter over

Some info just in case you are from Farrell's of "substance"
Also a request from Patsy for a Daniel Farrell within message.

limited information:
I recently discovered that my maternal mother's FARRELL family lived
somewhere in PA in 1920 when my mother, Evelyn Farrell, was born. The
family moved sometime later to East Orange / Newark NJ where my mother met
and married my father (Michael Surma) in or around 1940. She and my father
were living at 759 High St in Newark, NJ in 1945, when I was born.
While in PA there would have been at least three siblings
Hi,
My grandfather, Thomas Farrell (born 1897), emigrated to the U.S. from
Ireland in the 1920s. He left behind several brothers and a sister. My
grandmother gave me his former address in Derrygowna, County Longford.
She suspected his brother, Michael, or son, Frank, would still be living
in the same house. I wrote a letter to him, but to no avail.
Subsequently, I had a letter published in the Longford Leader, inquiring
about my cousins/ancestors. Frank sent me a short letter in response to
my publis
