2. [FAY] FAY FAmily Gathering and Picnic [1]
Dear Folks, I have been able to arrange for the West Pavillion at Allen Pond Park in Bowie, MD for FRIDAY, July 18, 2003 from 10 AM to 3 PM for our first FAY Family Gathering / Reunion Picnic. This is our big family activity for the year. The West Pavillion at Allen Pond seats about 80 people. It has picnic tables and benches. The park has play areas, and one can rent paddle boats by the 1/2 hour on the Pond. Permanent restroom facilities are not far from the Pavillion. Ice skating is available

Mary & Bob, Would it be a good idea to get a hold of the Wojeck family who currently own the Fay farm @ 327 Farm Road Marlborough and perhaps arrange a tour of the old estate. Just a thought for the reunion next year. David Fay

Mary, Thanks for the invite. I'd love to come but I'm newspaper publisher and can't be away in the summer. However, I'll call one of my Fay cousins who comes to my area and will pass along the information to him. I believe he's going to be 100 this year--or, he's very close to it (97, 98) and I think he's in pretty good shape. I'll let you know what his answer is. His name is Clifford Fay and he's got an old Fay family history book. He told me it's falling apart though. So, again, I'll let you

I must admit for living so close I haven't been to the Marlboro area in years. However, When I did go I photocopied some pages that I'm working on scanning in and I'd be willing to send them off to anyone interested. Unfortunitly, I was very young when I got these and my source information isn't good. This is what I have. Worcester County, information on the Brigham family, Fay Family, and Judd family. History of Marlboro, information on the Brigham family, Fay family, Tomblin Family (Lydia Tomblin mar

Gosh, I wouldn't know how to do that. I'm just a person on the list as well. All I can suggest is that you go to rootsweb.com and see if they have an e-dress you can write to. Sorry I couldn't help more than that. Gail

9. [FAY] FAY, Research Trip to Marlborough 2003 [1]
Dear Folks, I returned from about a 10 day trip to Franklin, Hardwick, and Marlborough MA. in early June, 2003. Franklin, MA is north of Providence, RI. Hardwick is west of Worcester, MA. Marlborough is east of Worcester, MA. On this trip I was able to photocopy all of the Westborough Vital Records book to 1850. I also copied a good chunk of Northborough, Grafton ,and Framingham and some of Hardwick. I also copied some of the 1883 History of Hardwick by Paige, for the family genealogies of FAY,

John, Strange that you say the link doesn't work, I was very surprised as I just clicked on it now and it seems to be working just fine, Yes my family is from Marlborough. I was born and raised in the house provided in the link until I was ten years old. Most of my ancestors are from the Marlborough area and most are buried in the Southboro. Cemetery. I hope you can access the link Good Luck David A. Fay

Mary, I am sorry we lost touch! I never did get the obituary from my couin Seth of his sister Mary Fay Newton, but I do have the ones of John Flavel Fay, and Harriet Augusta Fay. Harriet Augusta Fay, my great great grandmother, is buried in Pine Grove Cemetary in Westborough. Most of my Newton ancestors are buried in Southborough, just opposite the Fay School. If you have Ruggles ancestors I would love to hear about them. I have Ruggles from the other side of the family, Roxbury to Reading MA DDFa

David, Mary and Bob WHO? Are we related through the Fay family? Is your Fay family the one from Marobough? I don't know if you know this, but your link to the free pages doesn't work. 25. [FAY] FAY Family Photograph [1]
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mrs. FAY taken at the J.J. Boynton Studio in Clinton, Massachusetts. The photo was probably taken in the 1860's and Mrs. FAY appears to be in her 60's at the time the photo was taken. I'd hoped to trace the family and return the photograph, however, to date I've been unable to find any relatives. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
