Hello I come from the Underhill side, I have lots of info but I am having a problem finding out about my grandfathers( Thomas Allen Underhill) son- Everett Underhill. Thanks for any help.
Pat.
Mark: My wife, Brenda Griffis Jackson, is descended from Georgia Ann Padgett. Georgia Ann's son, Andrew Feaster Griffis, was adopted by Red John Griffis when he married Georgia Ann. Andrew's real father was a Green(e) but we have not been able to determine anything else about Mr. Green(e).
Which of the children of Red John are you descended from?

Were any of Tilden's sons named Joel?
It sounds as though we are referring to the same Green Goodman. He is buried at Elzey Chapel which is in the general area you've mentioned, being, as I recall, south of Lake Butler. His tombstone as follows:
Green B. Goodman
Sep 2, 1840
Sep 6, 1918
His Memory Is Blessed
Susan's is beside his, as follows:
Susan E. Goodman
Feb 23. 1835
May 23, 1918
Faithful To Her Trust Even Unto Death
nearby is another grave:
Mary-Daughter of G. B. Goodman and Susan E. Goodman
Died: Sep 7. 1894 Age 27 yrs 3 mo and 10
Linda,
I, too, am descended from the Griffis family of Bradford County, via Abraham R. Griffis. Is there a way to get in touch with the person who did the thesis on the Griffis family?

Please check the Bradford County census for 1920. You should find his family listed in the Brooker precin

I am researching my grandmother and grandfather who were married in Bradford County, FL. While doing so, I came across a witness listed on the marriage license whose name is Lou Forsyth. This marriage license is dated 5/5/1915 by W.C. Brooks, Notary Public. The other witness was Lizzie Johnson (who I think may be a relative of my grandfather). The Lou Forsyth I have located was born 10/6/1887 and died 1/15/1975. Last residence was Starke, Bradford Co., FL 32091. I have a SS #, but don't want to lis

contact me I will give you all the info you want on the Thomas line.
I see three names that relate to my family. Starling, Coleman and Smith.
My mother was a daughter of Elbert Ciscero (Roe) STARLING, son of Alexander M. Starling. A.M. STARLING married Elizabeth Piercy COLEMAN, daughter of John Everett COLEMAN. They all came to Texas in the early 1880s. I would appreciate any information you might be able to give me. I think Gid STARLING was related to A. M STARLING.
I would really like to have information on the COLEMANS. There is a John E. COLEMAN married Lydia

I do not know of a Katie Griffis. But Barbara and Buck Griffis, Raiford/Lawtey, FL had 10 children, born from 1925 thru about 1937. One infant girl died. She was not named to my knowledge. They had 9 surviving children: Jeanette, Robert, Harliss, Eunice, Ethel, Alma, Albert Ray, Pearl and Phillip. Jeanette, Robert, Phillip and Harliss are the only current living children.
I am the daughter of Alma Griffis Cole who died in 1982. She was married to Harold Earl Cole, from Chicago. They lived in Green Cove
