The pages are working fine now........ thanks for posting them, and
thanks for fixing them....... also.... would you contact me
privately....... I have a questions for you.

Dear Sherry,
Thanks for all you have done for the list. I really appreciate your efforts.
While you are in Live Oak would you please inquire about list of people who
lived/died in County Homes (Poor Farms)? It is family lore that my
ggrandmother died in one, probably either in Suwannee, Madison or Hamilton
counties. I would love to know how to find any information about her. The
time frame would be after 1880 (where she is listed on the Hamilton Co.
census) and before 1892 when her husband remarr
Hi Friends,
Just an update on the new pages. With Dee's help I was able to find the
problem of the black pages. Thanks Dee. :)
I've reloaded the site. And checked it with the browsers that I have. They
look fine in both. I have Netscape 2.0 and IE 4.0 If any of you are still
having trouble viewing the pages, please let me know. Thanks.
Take care, Sherry Medders

Hi Friends,
I've added the last of the information that I gathered on last years trip to
Suwannee Co. It's a small page on delayed birth certificates. Located on the
Archive page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~flsuwann/Archives.htm .
I have also added a search engine on the site to help you look for surnames.
As the site has grown so much it's getting hard find surnames. It is located
on the home page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~flsuwann/suwannee.htm . I hope it
will be prove to be helpful.
I also just want to
Hi Members,
We now have 79 member to the list. I must say this list has been pretty
quite lately. If your a new member drop us a email and let us know what
surnames your looking for? Also for new member you may want to search the
archives for old post to this list. To search the FLSUWANN-L archives go to
the link below and type in the word "FLSUWANN-L" without the quotes.

I've rebuilt the site again. I've been having some complaints about visitors

Hi Sherry:
I know you have gone to a lot of trouble to update the pages......
but......
I can't get the census info to come up at all...... and the black screen
is awful...
(my opinion.)..... hard on the eyes..... difficult to adjust to...
I like the format...... should be easier to locate what we are looking
for..... doesn't take so long to load... etc.... great..... now if only
those records would load.....
Thanks for the effort........ and I hate to complain after all your
work....but I sure would like

Thanks Bonnie, great idea! I had not thought of that. I will check to see
what I can find out about this kind of information while I'm there. Anyone
else have any suggestions?

Hi,
I've visited the Suwannee County Genealogical Society on 208 North Ohio
Avenue in Live Oak many times. Always welcomed with "Open Arms". They have a
great deal of Genealogical material and are well worth the stop. Open from 9
to 5 each day of the week. (Not Sat. or Sun.)\Their telephone number is - in
Live Oak- 208-1564.

Hi Sherry,
Small world isn't it. I have a good bit of information on the Krimmingers
and some on the Hills. Mary A. Krimminger Hill was my great grand aunt. I
have visited the cemetery in Troy Springs several times (my cousin lives
about 1 mile from it).
I would be more than happy to share what I have with you or your Uncle.
PS - in case my name doesn't ring a bell, I sent you the report on the
assassination of John N. Krimminger. He was the father of Mary A.
Another PS - I visit Mayo and Live Oak
Hello Members,
I haven't posted anything to the list in a while so will try this
again. I am searching for any information on the Kenady/Kennedy family
of Suwanee Co. This family moved from Gadsden Co., FL to Suwanee Co.
after the 1860 census but they appeared on the 1870 census. The
family consisted of Holland(Helen), Alex, Mary Jane, Martha, Thomas
John, Matilda, Rebecca, Missouri, Virginia, Sarah, Samuel W., Alexander
Flavius, Elizabeth and William.
Are there any cemetery records available and on
Hi list,
Just wanted to let you know I've finally finished the 1860 Suwannee Co.
Census. Go take a peek. http://www.rootsweb.com/~flsuwann/Archives.htm

Hi List,
We now have 84 members. I'm guessing everyone is very busy, this list has
been very quite lately.
I'm looking forward to my trip to Suwannee Co. (June 5th - Jul 4th) I've
just about run out of material to post online. I've got 11 more pages of the
Census to do and one more page for the Delayed Birth Certificates. And then
thats it for me until I gather more from the Live Oak Courthouse.
I've been busy transcribing more pages. I've finished and uploaded pages
20 -26 of the 1860 Suwannee Co. Censu
Hi Sherry:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the new census pages are showing
up black again..... to me anyway....the others that you worked on last
time when that happened still look fine ..... what ever you did last time
fixed the problem that was occuring....
Also....... I saw that Rick had answered about the Krimminger/Hill
cemetery located at Troy. Rick is my first cousin..... wouldn't it be
interesting to find out we are all related?
Dee
Hi List:
Sherry is being kind...... I haven't got a clue as to what she did to fix
it.... I just was telling her what I was seeing with my browser.......
she did the fixing. I am glad she knows what she is doing because I
would be totally lost.......and I really appreciate the work it takes to
run this web site... we all benefit from her work. Anyhow, it is looking
good now from where I sit.....
Thanks Sherry,
Dee
Hi Dee and All,
I thought I had that fixed. It turns out that when I fixed the pages, I
forgot to fix the template page that I use to make new pages. I copied it to
all the new pages. I'm really sorry about that. I have fixed them (and the
template page) and reloaded them. I also checked them using my Netscape 2.0
and they all can up like they were suppose too.
I've wouldn't be surprized if we were related somehow. I've been told many
times that folks from this area are all related. :)
Anyway go take a
Bill, I was at the Suwannee Valley Genealogy Society in Live Oak about 3
weeks ago and met Jinnie Hancock, President, and Mary Anderson, Corresponding
Secretary. They are very nice and very helpful. Their office phone number
is (904)208-1564 and e-mail address hanc@alltel.net. Their office is open
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
