One of my cousins in California sent me a Labrucherie
family tree and I will look for it; I packed away all
my research when I moved and it's still packed away.
It's in a folder - I just have to find the folder. I
am sure that your son-in-law and I must be related
through the Labrucherie family.
Phil Arnautou was the one who sent me the family tree;
he is the grandson of my grandmother's sister, Marie

Hello Jeanne and Jackie, and greetings to other readers,
Jeanne, I have diverging dates for Pierre Lagrave (aka Marie Labrucherie's husband): my sources indicate that he was born May 27, 1841 (and not 1861) which is more consistent with his father being born in
I found a number of Greniers that were your family, they got around, back
and forth to and from Europe, Canada to USA. I did not find anything I thought
would help you, though.
I belong to a few French Genealogical groups, but dang computer is running
slow.....I will try again later to see if I can find anything, however, Grenier
is a very popular name. If you can read french, you my want to search on
genealogie+75. 75 is department code for Paris, my family came from 64.

I think your sources for a birth date aof 1841 may be correct; Pierre and Marie Lagrave were in San Francisco in the early 1870s. They are in the 1870 census; Pierre is 28 and Marie is 18. The 1861 could be a typo on my part.
Yes, you are correct; I
