1. [BRETAGNE] Bougeard [1]
Hello, I am seeking information re my ancestors who came from Brittany. They were Jean Louis Bougeard born 6/8/1827 and his wife Mathurine Jeanne (Bougeard?), they were married in Plerin on 8/1/1850. They had two children that I know of, Yvonne Francoise born 30/11/1853 and Francois Yves born 30/9/1851. I would be most grateful for any information in particular their parents etc. I hope to come accross to Brittany in the summer if I can get organised. Yours,

Hi, In my Grand Repertoire Genealogique Breton, which dates from 1999 and includes the interests of members at that time, someone is researching the name BOURDALOU, which seems a likely contender; he is researching about 1874, in Plouer-sur-Rance, near the coast in 22, Cotes d'Armor (previously Cotes du Nord). He is Monsieur Alain Le Guennec, 9, Avenud de Lydd, 91580 Etrechy, France. I suggest you write in French, or very simple English. If you don't tie up he may be able to give you some clues.

To follow up, Kathleen, on BORDELOUP, I tried it on GeneaNet (just google - it works in several languages) and there are some 115 entries, but none in Brittany - all more central, Cher, Loiret, etc. And many of those were statistical, not private people with trees. Suggest you find a departmental map of France and look at places near Brittany. Would anyone looking in France try GeneaNet - it's amazing! If no-one has yet put on the family you are looking for, be the first, you could be lucky. All
15. [BRETAGNE] Bordeloup, Lebordelaux, Bourdoulon [1]
I'm seeking information on Yves Alphonse Bordeloup who emigrated to either St. Pierre/Miquelon, Newfoundland or Nova Scotia, Canada in mid 1800's from France. He was described in a family history of my great-grandmother who is noted as the Flora Anne, daughter of a "Frenchman from Brittany, France". Local parish records show he married Flora Anne's mother February 20, 1868. They had Flora Anne July 1869 and son Levi John October 30, 1870. Since that time there is no record of them in the census of Newfoundl
