am looking for was born in Woodstock, Georgia (Cherokee County)

I am looking for anyone who may be researching Samuel D. Freeman. He was
born circa 1860, spent over 30 years in the military and taught at West
Point.

Pardon me for interrupting, but if you should run across any reference to
Eliza Freeman in your storage unit would you please let me know? I am trying
to find my grandmother Eliza Ann Freeman Elliott Riddle. I know she was born
in IN , but what county I have not the foggiest idea. Likewise ,her parents
or siblings.
I did find one Eliza Riddle , but that turned out to be a relative down a
different side of the tree.
Thank you,

Anita,
Sorry to be so slow in responding to your inquiry. I too am a
descendant of Richard Freeman and Elizabeth Haggard through their son
William S. Freeman. Their son George Washington Freeman went to Pontotoc
Cty.MS around 1860 before moving to Kaufman county, Texas. He enlisted in
the Confederate Army while in MS--the New Albany Grays.
I don' know anything about James or Lawrence but the names and addresses
of two other researchers of the Richard Freeman family are

Just ran across your post again and got interested. I have a James Monroe
Freeman (my g-grandfather) but he was the son of James Levin Freeman and the
husband of Martha Thompson -- they lived in Alabama and their daughter, my
grandmother, married a man who migrated to Texas --- Quite a coincidence,
eh? Billie

I am looking for information on Sue Rebecca Freeman and family. Sue was born
between 1848 and 1850 in Carthage, IL.
I have some old notes (handed down) that indicate that her father, William
Freeman, was a Colonel in the Illinois Militia during the "Mormon Wars", and
the "Blackhawk Wars".
BTW, I have done a fair amount of searching through libraries and internet
military-related sources for "Colonel Freeman". It is possible he has
exaggerated his military record because I can find no other mention of hi
Greetings, fellow Freeman descendants!

It is the War College's site and it has a searchable database for the Civil
War photographs in their collection. They had several Freemans. Not my
Freeman, but that's okay--I've a photocopy of my Civil War Freeman. I'm not
sure if the collection is only of Union soldiers or if it includes
Confederates as well.
Hope this helps someone!

Dawn,
I am from Syracuse, N Y and my grandfather was named Albert Perry Freeman.
He was married to "Lottie" Freeman. I think that was short for Charlotte. I
know very little about the Freeman side of my family. What I do have is
packed in boxes in a storage locker until about July.

Am searching for the family of James (Jim) Monroe Freeman. Jim was the oldest
son of Lawrence B. Freeman and Martha Hardy. The Lawrence B. Freeman family was
from GA, then came to Pontotoc, MS by 1860. Jim married the sister of Amos
Carter, then moved to TX. His mother, Martha, is believed to have moved with
him to TX.
Any help out there?
Anita

Blount Co., AL in 1821 and had his children there from 1822-1842? No death
