Assuming that your father has passed away by now, I would recommend having a look at a Social Security Death Index
list.
A quick look under George S or George Sharp didn't turn up anything fitting your description, but looking under George
Freeman showed 591 hits. Many of these hits have birthdates in the era you describe. You would have to cull this list
with other information you may have or can get from other sources e.g., the state of birth.

Yes! Is there somewhere we can complain about this? S.S. applications are so
important because they list parents names! It's a shame that a lot of people
now can not afford these copies.

Good luck to you...wish I had the knowledge to help you find your father.
So he was about 51 when you were born...continue to question your mother
regarding his exact place of birth, where he lived when she was seeing him
and any of his family members that she may recall. Can she recall who he
worked for or the name of the boat? How about the adoption agency?
As you know, it may take several question sessions with your mom to get an
answer, but keep on trying.

Missouri in the 1850/1900 time line. They came from Kentucky, where I do

would be of interest since this topic has recently been on this list.
Hi everyone -
Talking about Social Security - someone wrote her congress man - he in

wrote Social Security - the letter they wrote him is pure "gobbly-goop".
Her
Congressman sent her a copy of the letter he had received.
In the letter her Congressman wrote to her, he said for her to call his
aide
- which she did. They said they would take it up in Congr

It is below Gates, between Perquimans on the east and Hertford and
Bertie on the west. At least in my Handy Book. It was created in 1670,
the Parent Co or teritory from which it was organized was Albermarle and
the county seat is Edenton. Hope that will help.

Dear Bev, I am very interested in your information on the Freeman Family of
Clarkson, Monroe County, NY. I believe them to be related to Asa and
Thankful Freeman of Mooers, Clinton County, NY. A Benjamin Freeman was of
Clarkson and I believe him to be the son of Asa Freeman. Do you have anymore
information on the family?

Dear friends,
Some time back I posted a query as a favor to a friend and still have
hope that someone on this list will be able to connect with my friend,
Mary, regarding her brick wall. She thinks there is a good possibility
she can connect Abner FREEMAN to the Mayflower, but needs to confirm the
parents of Joshua FREEMAN. Here is all the data I have:
Abner Freeman b. 29 Dec 1811 in Orleans, Barnstable Co., Mass. His
parents were Joshua and Elizabeth ? Freeman.
Personally, I've never found a FREEMAN
Arthur, I think you need to send your request to Freeman-L-Request@Rootsweb.com

I'm looking for descendants of Granville M. FREEMAN. I believe he was a twin to our ancestor Balis Jack Freeman.
Both born 1845 in KY. Both served for the Union in the CW.
Granville applied for pension in E. Baton Rouge, LA. That's all I know folks. I think he died in the 1900's. LDS has his middle name as Marion. I thought it was Merritt. Any help will be appreciated.
