Hi, I am new to the list and am researching the family FREEMAN. One of my
Great great grandmothers was ELISABETH FREEMAN she married MATTHEW READ on
21 November 1842 at The Parish Church of St Mary, Haywater, Middlesex. She
was the daughter of GEORGE FREEMAN, Cordswain of Union Street, Lambeth,
London.
If anyone can give me any further information in regard to this family I
would be very appreciative.
Other names I am researching are, READ, SUCH, GARMONSWAY

Hi Coop, My Freemans went from Ark to OK and then to Texas for a short time
before they went to Calif. They were in O'Donnal Texas where my great
grandfather had a butcher shop... Also looked in the index under Clements
and found Andrew J. and Emily Ellen and Lydia in an article about William
Gage and Rhoda (Boydston) several picture of the Gage family are included
but none on the clements . Hope that helps and if they are yours I will pick
out what it does say and send it on.. Georgine
I hope this helps someone,

Your query is a bit vague. There were hundreds of Mary Freemans and probably
just as many William Snows.
Do you have birth dates? Do you have marriage date? Do you have county in
New York?

Greetings,
Out of curiosity, I have a grandfather named Joe FREEMAN and a Great Great
Grandfather that was a Joe Freeman. They were all associated with the Choctaw
Nation. My GGgrand's mother was named Charlotte FREEMAN. I would like to hear
something concerning your ancestry (Joe Freeman)?
Dear Researchers,
About every few months I get this message from a lady is desperately trying
to find her paternal grandfather. Please take a look and see if any of you
can help her.

This is my first attempt at this, so bear with me. My GG grandparents were Alexander and Elizabeth Freeman, both born in N.C., 1783 and 1786. By 1830 they were living in Gibson Co. TN., near Brazil. Their known children were Cynthia, B-1828; William, B-1820; Soloman, B-1827 and Zachariah, B-1826; all were born in N.C. In 1853 Zachariah married Agnes Ann Bowers. They raised at least twelve children. (I have names and DOB). One of their children was Soloman, B-1856, who married Mary Lena Bulter in 1888. These

My mother is descended from Mary Wilson Snow, born 1832 Truro, Mass.
(father Richard, grandfather Stephen, GGF David), but I'm afraid that
doesn't help you.
Snow is a common name on Cape Cod, where Truro and Yarmouth both are.

Hi Doreen:
I think I have corresponded with you in the past, but I am not sure. Anyway,
although I don't have positive proof, I believe after many years of research,
that the father of your Peter (1805) was Allen Freeman (b. 1769 - d. after
1830), who on 24 Oct. 1798, married Temperance [Tempy] Smiley. Allen was the
believed son of Peter Freeman Sr.,b. 3 Oct. 1739 - ca. 1787) and Faithy Marie
Malone(?). Tempy Smiley was the daughter of Rodia (Rody) Smiley/Smelley and
sister of Jesse Webb Smiley and C
Hello List-
On my continuing quest for
the ancestry of Selina Freeman
(Boyd) (Shields) born in 1813...
see below...died in 1880 in
Greenville, OH. (Darke County)
I now have confirmation that
she was born in KY. I obtained
a copy of her death notice and
it gives her place of birth as
Kentucky. (Unfortunately, no
parents names as I had hoped)
So I move the quest back to KY.
All of you that have Freeman
ancestors that traveled from
KY to Southwest OH during the
early 1800s; please check for a
