I have uploaded revised test results for the project at
http://dna.carnicle.com/test.htm
The results of 5 tests and one upgrade have been posted.
One of the newly added results came back with a haplogroup
designation of "I" versus the majority R1b's we have been
seeing. His family lore indicted that the surname for his line
may have been changed...and matching results from the
Morgan surname project have sent him off in quest of a
possible connection with that name.
Two of the other tests found 12 m

Holman Freeman, Sr. moved from VA to GA in 1773. I have seen deeds in VA
with his wife as Ann. Also, seen a reference in 1756 in the Douglas
Register about the birth of daughter Frances to Holman Freeman and ___ Cox,
in Amelia Co VA. I have seen family files posted with her name as Sarah Ann
Cox. . . . Does anyone know of a legal document with her name as Sarah or
Sally?
Thanks,
Pat

Looking for any Freemans in the Delaware County area, or whose forebears used to be there. My great-grandfather, John Freeman (wife 's name Mary, nee Delahanta or a variation of that spelling) located in the following area in 1880: TheNorth half of the Northeast quarter of Section thirty four and the South half of the Southwest quarter of Secti
John Freeman, who died 1800 Wake Co., NC, supposedly came from Virginia, per
his great-grandson of S. C. All clues I get from my records indicate
kinship with the old Surry Co., Va. Freemans and with William Freeman,
married Elizabeth Bridges, both from Surry Co., Va., but who wound up in
Franklin Co., NC, next door to Wake. Also, with an Edward, who was in
Franklin Co. Edward witnessed a deed with John in 1785 in Wake Co. and he
also had children in Wake Co.

Hello Realsnooks:
Thank you for your reply...however, since the 1880 Federal census shows my
Great-grandfather, John Freeman, having been listed as Irish, I must assume
he was born in Ireland, not in England...consequently, I guess I don't see a
connection. Thanks, anyway...
