My ancestor (born in 1802) was a lady in waiting, member of the Royal House of Holland, and cousin to the queen. She fled to America to avoid marrying a German prince.
Empress Josephine's daughter, Hortense, was briefly the queen of Holland at that time, so I'm wondering if it was possible that it could have been her.
Hello,
I have heard that there actually was at some point in History family
nobility, would anyone have any information?
Thanks
Robert

Hi
I am trying to locate my Mulvey ancestors.
There is a family story that goes something like this.......... a
Duke........ with the name Mulvey flees the Revolution and goes to Ireland,
from Ireland he eventually goes to England. I do not know how long the
"Mulvey's" stayed in Ireland.
Has anybody come across this before? I have had a lot of trouble tracking
the Mulvey's in England and I thought there may be some truth in the story.
Any help would be appreciated.
Karen
Shawn, this site looks very good. Have you used it for research ? I am
searching for my TACY ancestor from France who came to America about
1800. I have no idea which part of France he came from. Thank you,
Jeanne.
