Sure, C for Close, to which Microsoft seems to be moving (Access, IE). But,
with the exception of FTST, all the Windows applications I have which use
Exit (WP, Quicken, AOL, PKZip), have the underscored 'x'. It would seem to
be the convention for Exit.

Check for omission of that character in the Print Preview. If present, then
you have a printer driver problem. You will need to get the latest HP
driver for that printer for XP. If the character is missing in the print
Not to mention TMG itself, which uses x for Exit as a shortcut.

At the very least the same information can be obtained online at:

After printing out a FTST Report - Descendant (Visual Chartform) on a HP
LaserJet 2200D Windows XP Pro), I noticed that 1 letter space was not
printed when attaching the individual pages per the dotted cutoff lines. Is
there anyway to adjust this?
Thanks,
Kim

Truth be told - I think I was kind of hoping the lack of messages meant
that all the regulars who also beta test were out toasting to a job well
done - and that an announcement was being typed . . . LOL
OK - OR (my other thought) they are all doing their taxes too . . . sigh

Do you mean other Windows applications like Microsoft Internet
Explorer? It uses neither E nor X, but C.

There is a 500 page book published by Microsoft entitled "Official

One does not have to guess about menu exit issue. Just go to the Appendix
and read that Exit should have it's 'x' underlined as its menus access
character.
No one is saying that we have to be dogmatic about this, but one of the
central ideas about a graphical user interface is that there should be
consistency between application
Hi John,
FTST does not have the ability to save individual chart configurations, but
you can fake it.
Take a look in the FTST program directory, default:
C:\Program Files\Family Tree Super Tools
In the \reports subdirectory you'll find the three reports that FTST
produces. These can be changed to your liking, from within FTST.
If you want to modify the configuration without losing your current setup,
do the following:
create another subdirectory wherever you like, copy the current chart you
want to save
I have a question about saving all the many & varied properties of a .VC2
chart.
By varied I mean such things as:
Font, Font Size, Font Color, Paper Size, Paper Orientation (portrait or
landscape), Margins, Drawing size, and all the other properties that one
must enter in order to get a chart the way a person wishes.
QUESTION: Is there any way to save as a file, all the above properties of a
selected chart.
I would like have the ability, so that when I start a new chart, I could
import all of these prope
Is there any particular reason that the shortcut on the File menu to exit
FTST is E, not X as per other windows applications?
Will this be fixed in a later release?
