I'm here too. I subscribed to this list a while back, and hadn't seen
anything from it until today. In fact, I forgot I was on it . Humm,
most interesting turn of events.

I found several copies of my ancestors Bibles containing

Here's another member. I thought the list died since I have belonged to it
two different times and never got a posting, but here I not only got one, but
several. Of course we all are looking for someone to give us a light at the
end of the tunnel regarding a Bible Index, but at least we are not alone.

I am researching the John KILPATRICK family from Newmilns, Ayrshire, Scotland.
They were a deeply religious and god-fearing people and they must have left a
bible to someone, but I have not heard of it. If anyone knows of its
whereabouts, please contact me.

John,
I saw your name on the Family Bible list. Since I am searching without
success for my ancestor JOHN HENRY DAVIS b abt 1849 Alanta GA, I was
wondering if you have any knowledge or contection to this family.
John H. Davis md Molly Mendle Green in Anderson Co. TX in the year 1885.
They had two known sons John Thomas Davis and Henry Burt Davis.
Does this ring any bells?
