If anyone can give me an informed opinion on this subject, It will really
help me in my family search.
Family lore has it that my maternal line are Creek Indians from the
Southeastern part of the US, namely GA and NC. Family members on the census are listed
as Mulatto or Black. I've learn that the term "Mulatto" was used for persons
of mixed heritage, but I'm not sure if this means they are listed mulatto
because they were mixed with White or Indian blood. My family names are Smith &

Sep 27 and 28, 2003 are the dates for this years' McIntosh Fall Festival at
the McIntosh Reserve in Whitesburg, GA. Admission and primitive camping is
available at no charge. This is the home and gravesite of William McIntosh.
The 6th and 7th of this month were the dates for the Powwow at the McIntosh
Hotel in Indian Springs, GA.

Trying to find information on Lucinda Wolfe (parents,
grandparents, siblings, etc.), born about 1805 / 1806 in South
Carolina, although some census records have said that she was born in
Georgia. Family history has it that Lucinda was full blooded Cherokee
Indian but I have seen no positive proof of this to date. (The info
listed below this query is all that I have found but I'm not sure if
this is the same Lucinda Wolfe). Lucinda Wolfe was married to Joel S.
