1. Hollinshed [1]
I am researching the Hollinshed family origin. My father Charles Hollinshed was born in Marshallville GA 1919. His mother's maiden name was Iola Banks. We do not know what his father's name was. He also has a brother named James. I would like any information regarding the Hollinshed's from this area - births, deaths, marriages, etc.

8. Re: POW camp [0.990589]
Yes, there must have been a pow camp near Irwin County. My Dad had German soldiers working on our farm. He just said that we had captured them and they were over here until things could be worked out. The fellows seemed to enjoy being on the farm. I do not know how they were paid, nor any of the details of the arrangement. It is strange that I never viewed them as being POW's until this e-mail.
