I mentioned the many genealogical materials submitted to the Statesboro library by researcher Alvaretta K. Register, who I would love to learn more about. She seems to have been a very dedicated, well-known researcher in the area. I just found out on Ancestry.com that she passed away the year I graduated high school, in 1985. Kelli, It is nice to hear a researcher concerned about the rules and etiquette. Here is a suggestion, when you first get to the library, search out one of the librarians, preferably the genie room librarian. Ask "what are the rules". Ask your question about using the copiers at the other end of the building, explaining that you felt a bit odd carting those books clean across the building. Take good group sheets with you, so you know who you are researching and if you need assistance, you can show them

Kelli A lot of genealogy information about Bulloch County is also in Screven County. Which is Sylvania,Georgia. Also a lot of the marriages in Bulloch County and surrounding counties were performed in Ridgeland, South Carolina. It was always easier to go to Ridgeland and get married quickly. Also you may want to look at Bryan County. Hope this helps.... Jo
