Have you been in contact with Shirley Joiner Thompson of Camden County? She wrote a book about her family (includes the Harrells you speak of) called "Woodbine Twineth" (1972). This land is owned by The Kirbys. They aren't listed in the phone book but they can probably be reached through the Bryan-Lang Historical Library (912-576-5841). I wrote to Nancy privately some time ago regarding Black Hammock. For any of you who may be interested, here's what I wrote her: The original Black Hammock plantation home is still standing - the cemetery is not far from it. I visited there a few years ago.
