I just made a trip to Columbus, Ga. I saw death and birth records in the
office of vital statistics downtown @ 2100 Comer Ave. Tele # 706-321-6300.
Another source is the probate and superior court records in Chattahoochee
County. Try them. Sherrie Felton is the secretaries name that helped me a
vital records. lastly try Bradley library in Columbus. They had some old
books that I didn't have time to examine thoroughly.

Thomas JORDAN was a member of the Columbian Lodge, No. 7, Columbus,
Georgia, in 1854 (according to the GA Lodge Book for that year). Does
anyone happen to have the Columbus City Directory for 1850, or any other
