Does anyone have access to or know where I can find death records in Chattahoochee County between 1880 and 1900? Does the courthouse have these on file? I am looking for a James M Moore, b. about 1815 in North
Port Columbus - Civil War Museum - December 1st and 2nd - Free.
If you haven't visited the museum this would be a good chance. Plus a
Victorian Holiday.

We are engaged in an on-going genealogical and historical research project focused on the Civil War Unionists of Alabama. Two volumes are completed, a third is soon to be released, and nine more volumes are planned. Family Indexes to the first two

This statement should clarify something most people seem not to know. The
Veterans Administration is responsible and is supposed to take care of
Veteran gravesites. That includes the graves of Confederate Veterans who
are also included as an American Veteran. The statement "its dedication to
the perpetual care and maintenance of veterans' gravesites" shows this to be
true. Perhaps we should follow up on these promises. Please see this site.
