1. Re: Gadberry notes [1]
Dear Roy, My Mother, Betty Elder, is having back sugery Wednesday after having shingles, a car wreck, breast cancer/surgery, and a broken arm, all within the last two years. I know I haven't been answering requests or commenting lately. But could you print a little about Anna Gadberry, Green's daughter? I have given you my sources, and maybe just her children's names and husbands/wives? Sorry for the imposition, but I'll be in Wichita awhile with no computer after Tuesday, and it's just a
2. RE: Gadberry-Stormes connection [1]
Roy, Michael and Joy: I can see from my records, early work on these families made the Nancy Gadberry born 4 June 1843 to John Wesley Gadberry and Delilah Manning the husband of Jacob Storm, but enough information is now evident to prove that incorrect. This Nancy died 10 Feb 1856 and is buried in Weaver Cemetery, Daviess County, Indiana. I do not currently have any information that would disprove that the Nancy Gadberry who married Jacob Storm is the daughter of James and Elizabeth ELLIOTT Gadberry. All

5. Nancy Ann and Elizabeth [1]
Nancy Ann Gadberry/Gadbury, a native of Casey Co., KY, moved to IN before 1841 with her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and John Barrow, according to a newspaper article. Nancy Ann was born about 1825. On 6Jul1841 Nancy Ann married Andrew Jackson Ricketts in Warrick Co., IN. Can anyone tell me who were the parents and siblings of Nancy Ann and Elizabeth? Also, the family group sheet at LDS has Nancy Ann's last name as Gabney, and that she was born in IN. Claudette (Ricketts) Pfingston claud@sigecom

Hi, Only received one yesterday. Haven't had a chance to respond until now. Hope you had a nice vacation. Haven't found anything new at all. Been corresponding with a descendant of Amanda T. Loy Davis, daughter of Sarah Gadberry Loy Vowell. So far they have nothing to add to what we have. Heard from the State Archives and they said they only have unreadable microfilm of the marriage record I requested for Sarah. Probably the same for John. They said to go to the county, which I have alrea
9. Re: Chester Wiley King [1]
Blessings, Roy, and Ruth! I thank you both so very much for all the info lately on the Chester Wiley King family! Since my mother and I had moved from the Los Angeles area when I was quite little (in 1945), we lost contact with most of the family. What a shame! So also, since Mom passed too, much info was lost. And when one is younger we never seem to think to write all this down. Rats! We have a couple of additions to the Chet King line to tell you about, in Generation 6? the Bennett family... Lydia J

16. Re: Gadberry-Stormes connection [1]
Hi, Yes, this is also interesting to me. As Elizabeth Elliott Gadberry, mother of Elizabeth, Nancy, Harvey, and Jesse/Issac Gadberry, was also there in 1860. Did Elizabeth Gadberry, die in Job Twp. or did she move on to Arkansas where one of Harvey Osborn Gadberry's children were born? or move back to Illinois with John and Elizabeth Gadberry Elliott and die there? It appears from census, that almost every family had a child/parent die while in Job Twp. or before the next census. I wonder th

23. Re: Gadberry-Stormes connection [1]
This is all very interesting. I believe that there may have been two Nancy Gadberry's. The one on the Jobe Twp. Oregon County, MO 1860 census, Nancy Gadberry Storms, I believe to be the daughter of Elizabeth Elliott Gadberry. Elizabeth was living next door with her other daughter Elizabeth and her husband John Elliott (Ellet.) Nancy Gadberry Storms died in Oregon County before 1870. Her husband Jacob Storms remarried and had another child. He also died before 1870. The children of Jacob and Nan
