Lou Ann here...just my two cent's worth, but the Paiutes (the corrected spelling) are from Nevada...I lived there most of my life. Possibly since Utah is next to that state, they also lived and do live there. OK, everybody...thinking caps...I seem to remember from reading MUCH about the Trail of Tears (Cherokee Removal) that one of the Army men, a Colonel Spivey...was quite sympathetic to the plight of the people he had to remove under gov't. orders. Spivey is really close to Spiva...people who wrote
