several items relating to Lewis Gadberry. Lewis was the son of James and
Elizabeth Gadberry of Yadkin County, North Carolina. Yadkin County and
Surrey county are adjacent counties.
Lewis was a saddler and justice of peace in Yadkinville and there are
several entries of his judicial proceedings in the Yadkinville courthouse
records. We did not find any record of Lewis being married (did not search
all the records), but he had a sister name
There was a LEWIS GADBERRY found in NC during the 1870 census of Yadkin
County. He was born in 1810.
There was also a FOWLER GADBERRY, who was in the Confederate Army, supposedly
from SC.
We would appreciate any feedback concerning these two individuals.

Perhaps someone with more information than I have can help me? There was a
James Gadberry born about 1870 in Rowan, North Carolina. Also one born about
1786 also Rowan, North Carolina. Both seem to be married to Elizabeth Elliott
on August 27, 1807 in Rowan NC. One couple migrated to Kentucky, then Daviess
County, Indiana. This couple had children William, John, James,Sarah,
Wilson, Isaac, Alfred, Elizabeth, Rufus, Harvey, & Nancy. This James was much older
than his wife Elizabeth. Is this Jame
