looking for information on the following BATES family - am trying to show yes or no does he belong to my BATES line.
Samuel W BATES was born 1820 in North Carolina and died 1902. He is buried in FAnnin County GA.
On the 1850 census he is in Union County and then from 1860-1900 he is in Fannin County. Fannin was formed from Union

I am searching for the descendants of Henry Thomas who was buried in Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Fannin County, Georgia. His birth date is 1820 and he died in 1895. I think this is a son of Aaron Thomas Sr.. I am from this line of Thomases through another son of Aaron's, William Hunsucker Thomas. Are the other Thomases buried at Sugar Creek family of this Henry Thomas? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks
Pam Thomas-Cantrell
This is the same family! I don't have a death date for Samuel but that 1902 sounds right. I also know that Emaline married a man named Whitesides. I have quite a bit of information on the George Washington side right up to current day. Please let me know what part of the family you are from. Do you still live in GA? Thank you for replying.

Judy,
Was it New Martin's Creek or Old Martin's Creek? What were the surnames?
The reason I ask, I have many relatives buried at New Martin's Creek.
Be careful who you choose to hate, it may be someone you love
