1. [GAFRANKL] event 1842/44 SANDERS [1]
Is anyone searching for Nathaniel Sanders or Samuel Sanders? They would have been in Franklin County in 1842/1844. I know it's not much to go on but that's all that I have. Their names appear on a land warrant for that County. If it could help, the encompassing land area belonged to the PATTERSON's and Neil or Noel SHELTON. Thanks for anything you have. 2. [GAFRANKL] Churches [1]
Someone inquired about the oldest Baptist churches in Franklin, Hart, and a couple of other Georgia counties. Nails Creek Baptist Church was established on 11 Feb 1787 at Joseph Nail's trading post on the upper waters of Nails Creek, then in Franklin County but now in Banks County. That's pretty old, and only three years younger than the county itself. There may be older churches, however, since Franklin County was originally as large as present-day Rhode Island and has given up land to many other "daugh
3. [GAFRANKL] addtl info on Earliest Churches [1]
Hey folks, a post I just received made me realize that I didn't specify which CHURCHES I was looking for. Since the ancestors that I AM aware of were all of the BAPTIST faith or they were BAPTIST preachers/ministers, I would think that those are the CHURCHES that I would be most interested in, at this point. Sorry for the omission on the previous post. Thanks again, Gale Sanders _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer

If I remember correctly, you were wondering where that ancestor was born? Doesn't matter, if you and I talked, and I told you I would do something, just email me :) Thanks, Gale Sanders
11. [GAFRANKL] Re: [GABALDWI] SEABORN AND JAMES JONES [1]

James W. Jones as an editor for the Augusta Chronicle and was the best man in Dr Henry Freeman's wedding, 11 Jan 1820, to Pamelia F. Cook, d/o George Cook, attorney in Elbert Co.
