I am still searching for my elusive William "Walter" APPLING, born October 1868 or 1969; son of William "Milton" APPLING (1844-1880) and Nancy Matilda MARTIN (1844-1871) of Gwinnett Co., GA. Go back to the Property Evaluation Office (tax assessors). Ask them to pull the file and give you the deed reference that they used to put it on the tax roll. Baptist churches are usually sold to or by the deacons. Pull the original deed.
