HAS JUST HAD IT'S FIRST MOWING FOR THE SEASON!
Now is a good time for all of you that want to search for a grave without overgrowth and fear of snakes to go out and do so.
Next mowing will be the week before Fathers day.
There will be Hillcrest Memorial Association staff in the cemetery for Mothers day on both Staurday and sunday for those that want to visit but would rather have someone around, just in case you have safty c

I am still searching for my elusive William "Walter" APPLING, born October
1868 or 1969; son of William "Milton" APPLING (1844-1880) and Nancy Matilda
MARTIN (1844-1871) of Gwinnett Co., GA. By 1890 Walter had moved with two
of his uncles, Henry Benjamin Appling (1849-1925) and Joel Whittington
Appling (1863-1912) from Gwinnett Co., GA to Fulton Co., GA.
About 1890 Walter married Matilda "Jackie" MAYO. They had eleven known
children:
Thomas Arthur Appling (1892 - 1967), Alice Appling
Looking for any info on this family.

Go back to the Property Evaluation Office (tax assessors).
Ask them to pull the file and give you the deed reference that they used to
put it on the tax roll.
Baptist churches are usually sold to or by the deacons.
Pull the original deed.
