2. RE: [GAGEN] Bettie Wood [1]
Vivian, Here is the page listing nominees for SEMA CC Rep which shows Bettie Woods status as "Ineligible". http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwelections/nominee4.htm#sema%20cc%20rep%20to%20c omplete%20term It is my understanding that the election committee can only accept information about eligible voters and therefore eligible candidates from the State Coordinator. This is the only information I found concerning members not in good standing or members in good standing in the USGenWeb project bylaws - Section
3. [GAGEN] Info on July election [1]
Everyone should have received the following message of information..... IF you didn't then, that means your e-mail is not correct on the list they are working with...and this is a good chance to get it corrected. The Election Committee has worked hard to be sure there won't be any bounces when they send out the password. So speak up!! I personally don't know Tim's health, habits and work load as well as you do. However, Richard has NO obligation to answer for Tim. I wouldn't want to have to answer for Tim's actions. BUT I would like someone to point out the guideline that says a CC can be listed on the County Selection List and still not be a member in good standing of the Project. Thank you. hmmm- we are interesting and adorable but give us a clue as to the direction it would take. 11. [GAGEN] GAGenWeb News Story [1]
One of my dearest friends is married to an investigative reporter for CNN. They spent this weekend with me and we talked about genealogy. (I am not sharing names or gender here, as not to make this about who the reporter is) To make a long story shorter, x thinks the lists' emails (and the ones I have received privately from a couple of you) are hysterically funny and wants to do a story on our little corner of the world. Since genealogy is so popular, x is quite taken with the idea - plus, there

Linda, As I stated to you in response to a private email from you which I just received, I thought, based on the subject line, that the email was, in fact, a response on the GAGEN list, and not to a private email received from you. Please accept my apologies for the error. It was wholly unintentional. As I previously stated to you, I believed I was responding to an email from you on the GAGEN list. 19. Re: [GAGEN] Compliance [1]
I said nothing on that order. All I did was ask a simple question. I don't feel that's out of line. Page checks are good, if you recall, I suggested surfing the pages as is done in TX. I do believe in page compliance. I do not however believe that it should be done without a sanctioned committee to do it, or the SC and RC's. To check a person's site for noncompliance and broken links and then announce it to the list, is not a good idea. It causes embarrassment to those CC's. When its done, a private

Richard, Since Tim seems to be away this weekend, maybe you could share with us your knowledge of why Bettie Wood was reported to be "ineligible" to participate in the upcoming elections by our State Coordinator. I would think that you would be privy to this information since you are an Assistant State Coordinator in Georgia GenWeb. I know this sort of information is normally discussed "in private"....."behind closed doors" in Georgia GenWeb but since it has become public knowledge now across the entire
23. RE: [GAGEN] Compliance [1]
Linda, I have not looked at that site, and have no intention of doing so. I am too busy working on various counties and projects together with my RC duties to have time to police other people's pages. I am certainly glad that you and others have sufficient time on your hands to visit other pages. I know that I can rely on you. :) Regardless of the above, my point was, and remains, that the proper mechanism to make these concerns known is to address the CC, his or her RC, or the SC and ASC *privately*,
