May 20, 1836 newspaper reported that this company had arrived in Columbus for the Creek Indian Battles. Greene Volunteers Dawson 102 102 men were in the company. Does anyone know WHO this Dawson as Captain was? I'm working on a big project to put on-line all the names of these Indian War Vets. Sometimes they are printed in the early history books of a county. IF you have a pension/war record for anyone who served in any of the county companies, please send me the name and information that you have.

Hi Mell. Nope, I am Jim W from William W 1759-1829, husband of Jerusha Jones Willoughby. I believe Noel was a descendant of Aaron Willoughby. I've heard that Aaron was William's brother (Pike County Heritage Book) but I have found no proof. I have a bit of info about them too. I think the Jim W you mention is living in Japan.. I am trying to locate any information on Hubbard Glass. He last appears on the 1805 Tax List for Greene Co. If any one has access to this list, I would appreciate any info that is provided about him and his family.He was a son of William Glass, Jr. and I believe him to be the progenitor of the Glass family that shows up in Shelby County Alabama in 1830.
