This weekend, being the 170th Annual Conference of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in their new and HUGE conference hall
on Temple Square, Salt Lake City, the http://www.LDSWorld.com/ web site,
now owned by the LDS Church, is making available the InfoBase library on
the net for free for the next two weeks.
This on-line library, normally by subscription only, comprises
scriptures and historical documents of the LDS (aka 'Mormon') Church.

I spent some time taking note of every mention of James Gallagher using
every spelling variant I found from the tax rolls published in the PA
Archives. I ended up including every mention in the PA Archives 3rd
Series. Below is a complete list of my findings. Fayette County James
is my ancestor. According to family stories, he was a mountain trader
who carried goods from Philadelphia to western PA and, I am told, he
