Good morning, I'm trying to find and confirm the issuing of a French Croix de Guerre to an RAF serviceman for services during the Normandy Landings. Can anyone tell me where to look, and am I right in understanding that when a British serviceman recieves this honour, an MiD is issued and reported in the London Gazette? If an Menton in Dispatches was issued in conjunction with this award, would an oakleaf be worn on an appropriate medal, and in this case, would that have been on the Crix de Guerre, o
