Decided to share some of my family research with you all in case anyone's
interested and/or has more to add to this branch of the tree. It's taken me
years to straighten out Wheeler's wives and children and it's finally in
fairly decent shape. kathie

Does anyone have info on William Gallup born 1710 in Voluntown. For
instance, did he marry Easter (Esther) Smith and did they have a child or
children?
Thanks for any assistance on this...

This past week, I was visiting the World War II, Luxembourg American Cemetary[military]. I found the grave of the following:
TSGT Abraham A. Gallop,
564th Bomb SQuadron, 389th Bomb Group[H].
He was [obviously] killed during the war in the crash of his plane. Does anyone have any information about the family of Abraham A. Gallop??

Sorry to say that I don't know for sure. This info came from the Gallup
genealogy. However, I did find his name in the Hale Connection listed as
being buried in the Gallup Cemetery, Sterling, Windham Co., CT. That is all
the info that I have. Perhaps you need to look into marriage records or
baptism records...you might find some further info. Let me know what you
find out.

I seem to have some confusion in my family line, and my notebook is at home
(where I am not) and I was wondering if any one had info on this issue:
My great grandmother, Alice E. Gallup was the Daughter of Russell Gallup born
1809 in Middlefield NY. Russell's father was Benjamin H. Gallup born 1784 in
Pownal VT. Now comes the sticky point-
Was Benjamin the son of William, born 1735 in Voluntown CT or the son of
another William? And was the father of William, a Benjamin born in 1712, or
another Wil
Deanna,
Thank you for a truly excellent and informative note. I may have to
purchase that map. I would like to reiterate that if you do go to the
reunion, please take pictures of the places that you go...cemetery stones
that you might see, etc. and consider sharing them with the rest of us...I
have lots of room on the website...and would love to add several pictures.
There are a lot of us who are very far away from the "Gallup homeland"...my
group left CT in the late 1700's and went to Berne/Knox, NY. M

I think some of these lines would be good to include on the sute. I only
have Hannah Gore back one generation.
Although I can't make the reunion (wedding that day) I will try to get to
some of the Gallup cemeteries. If my photo's turn out, I'll send you

I received this message from Harriet questioning about a Crary gravestone in

I just got the Gallop to Gallup newsletter with directions to the picnic.
Nancy GBW is resigning (again) as secretery. She was trying to do this last
year, but no takers for the position. She will remain "keeper of the
records" and keep taking information. There will be a new secretary after
the "election". Appears only one is running for that position. They also
have a position open for one of the trustees with nobody up for it yet.
as to the picnic. It says. Everyone is welcome, reservation or not, but
