I found in CT marriages that a Samuel Fielding married a Lydia Bowles 25 January 1820. Another record says that his parents were Samuel Fielding and Elizabeth Alvord. If he died in Feb of 1880 in Georgia there is not a death certificate to confirm the names of his parents. Georgia Death certificates did not begin until 1919 and then was not complete. There may

There is not a listing in the Oconee Cemetery book for any of the named Fielding family members. Oconee Inscriptions of Oconee County, Georgia, Clarke/Oconee Genealogical Society, Inc, Iberian Publishing Company, Athens, GA 1994 I would check the surrounding counties, Clarke, Greene [Close to Salem area] Morgan etc. I did check in the Oglethorpe County Cemetery Book - No Listing Cemeteries of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, 3rd Edition, Compiled by Historic Oglethorpe County, Inc, C 2005 -----Original Mess

Clarke County Georgia Marriage Records 1803-1909 has Samuel Fielding to Elizabeth Nott (Nutt?) May 22, 1828 Book B, p. 130. I did not find any Fielding names in the Clarke Co., cemetery book but it does not include Oconee Hill Cemetery. -----Original Message----- From: gaoconee-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:gaoconee-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 10:45 AM To: GAOCONEE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GAOCONEE] death record This is a Message Board Post
