Researching an Andrew Jackson Bowen born March 30, 1819 in Georgia. He was marrried around 1840 to 1845. He had two children by the names of James W. Bowen and Lucinda Bowen. He later married Mary Lee Hayes in Carroll County, Georgia in 1853. Andrew and Mary had thirteen children together. They later moved to Clay County, Alabama. They moved around quite a bit between Georgia and Alabama. It does appear that some of the children were born in Carroll County, Georgia and the rest in Clay County, Alabama near

Brenda, I would certainly enjoy sharing with anyone having info on the Sheffield and Carlton families who inhabited that area in the 1800s, especially Isham Sheffield who is buried at Old Mt Moriah. It is thought that he is the father of Mark Calloway Sheffield born 1854, Paulding. Mark married Nancy Josephine Carlton, daughter of Henry S. Carlton and Amanda Caldwell Johns Carlton.
