Hi
Found in Beamans, Washington County Births from Death Records p-263 and
Marriages from Grave Stones p-294
Frederick was the son of Sylvester R. Gardiner b 8-28-1779 d 9-2-1856 N.K.
1st wife was Abby A. _____(Fredericks mother) Nothing else found on her.
Sylvester remarried in 1835 (NK 27:172 Book 3-118) to Susannah Wall b
11-1793 d 3-7-1854. Her parents were Danial Wall and Anna_____?.
Unable to find any NK burials and think probably they inter-married with the
Congdons and Browns of S.K.
Hope
Dear Fellow Genealogists,
I am looking to confirm the parents of Frederich(k)
Augustus GARDINER of Rhode Island.
b. 10 May 1829, North Kingstown, Washington Co., R.I.
m. 27 January 1851 to Elleanor Lillibridge BROWN,
N.K., Wash. Co., R.I.
d. 21 October 1866, N.K., Wash. Co., R.I.
Children: Sylvester R. GARDINER; Mary Elleanor
GARDINER; Abbie Ann GARDINER and Ruth Emeline
GARDINER.
Although he is a GARDINER, I have the feeling that he
is not of the George GARDINER of Newport, R.I.
lineage.
Beaman and Arno
Just a little humor for the list.
Happy Holidays

Dear Charlie,
I got in touch with you just before 9/11, then found things a bit more
disrupted here in New York than I'd expected. My apologies for taking so
long to reconnect.
I'm trying to track down the origins of my Gardiner family of Mesopotamia,
Ohio.
My great, great grandfather Jesse Gardiner is recorded twice in the family
Bible, birth and death.
The birth is recorded this way: "Jesse Gardiner born in Exeter R.I. November
7th 1824" [the date, 1824, has been written over, and I think
Liz I don't think so James William Gardiner was the son of John Joseph Gardiner and the
grandson of Peter Gardiner..Peter came to Canada from Ireland in 1845 eventually settling in
Mosa Township, Ontario, Mosa is near Port Stanley, Ontario.. Interesting though John J was
thought to be a Policeman in the London, Ontario area but when his wife died during
childbirth he put the children in an OrpHanage, Mt. St. Joseph in London and we can't seem to
locate his whereabouts after that. Glad
