Hi Gardner Researchers,
Some of you know me, and I am still stuck with my 3rd Great grand parents
David Gardner and Mary Cornwell in Cayuga Co., NY. I haven't been very
active on research lately, having too much else going on and limited
time. But I like seeing this kind of activity on the list, even when I don't
find any obvious connections to my line.Lets keep it up and make this the
best message board on the net!

Does anyone have a Lydia Gardner who could have married a Thurman? She
would have been born about 1813 in SC and was in Henry Co., AL, by
1850. She was in AR where she died in 1860.

Haven't posted this in a long time, but thought someone might have info on this Gardner line. James Pinkney Gardner b. 1784 NC, d. Hopkins Co. Ky. Married Catherine McCoy in 1820 in Hopkins Co. Ky. I know he was in Hopkins Co. Ky. in 1817. Records show he recieved a land grant. The LDS shows his father as William Garner. I haven't found any records of him in NC. He is my brick wall! Anyone have info on him?

My 2great-granduncle was George N. GARDNER. George, the grandson of
Scottish immigrants to what in 1773 was untamed wilderness, was born in
Newbury, Vermont, on 22 May 1840. He was a farm laborer age 20, living with
his father William N. GARDNER, in the 1860 census of Newbury. He served in
Company C, 3rd Vermont Volunteer Infantry, and died of wounds received on
12 May 1864 in the battle of Spotsylvania, in Virginia. He was 23 years
old, and died childless.
In memory.

New to List
Looking for family of JAMES and LUCY ADELE (LIBHART) GARDNER. I know LUCY ADELE
(not sure of the spelling of ADELE) was born in Michigan. I have found them both on the
1920 Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pa. Federal Census and they are in their 70's.
I have pictures of them as a young couple about late 1800's or turn of the century also one
of the photos is of a child I believe a girl. Also some correspondence in they way of
postcards, letters, etc.

I'm stuck on my great grandfather as well. John W. (Wesley?) GARDNER was
born in 1850, maybe in AL, AR or LA. Spent part of married life around FT.
PAYNE, AL before moving to AR. All these years I thought he was born and
raised in Arkansas only to find out from a cousin that he'd come from
Alabama. Then I find in my mother's family Bible that he was born in
Louisiana. So somewhere in the South sprang forth John Wesley Gardner. So
far I know that he had 2 daughters, Martha (my Grandmother) and Susan

I agree about the virus. I got bumped off AOL because my email was taken

my virus program as they told me to protect from this particular virus.

Georgia? My Gardner's are from Allendale or that
general area.
