Greetings, everyone:
I am at the home of my parents in Michigan. I am over
age 50, so the fact my parents are able to have the
family at the house for Thanksgiving is in itself a
cause for gratitude. I hope and pray that each of you
has something that you can point to and be thankful for.
One thing that I am thankful for is that I have such a
great group of subscribers on each of the RootsWeb
mailing lists that I admin. So pat yourselves on the

Hi:
The exact title of the library is "The Newberry Library". There is no form
of the word "genealogy" in the name of the institution. They have, for
example, quite the collection of cartographic materials. There is, however,
an excellent genealogical section; it doesn't rival the LDS library in Salt
Lake City (what does!), but is comparable
Is anyone researching revolutionary soldier, Pryor Gardner, and wife Drucilla Rose? I am descended through their daughter Sarah Gardner who married Thomas Harris 1st and a Powell 2nd. Larealia

Hi everyone:
A recent query to the GARDNER list, in its entirety, was in the form:
>I would like info on a GARDNER or GARDINER married to a SURNAME-X
>thanks
Please remember to include as much information in a query as possible, to
help those who are trying to help you. As a minimum, you should include:
Names (include first names if available)
Dates (guess if you have to)
Places (the continent, at least, would be nice)
If you really don't know one or more of the above, you should mention that
fact. B

Hi, Audrey:
Any clues as to when and where, other connected people? That might help a lot.

There was an American Genealogical Research Institute located at 1235
Kenilworth Ave., N.E., Washington, D.C. 20019. This information is on the
inside cover of a book I have "The Gardner Family" written in 1975. There is
no Library of Congress Catalog # or ISBN information in the book. I am not
sure if this group is still located at this address or if this book is still
available.

Some volunteers from the society of the Daughters of the American Revolution

have established a wonderful new program for users of Rootsweb. These
volunteers will do lookups in their database and records if you
think one of your ancestors served in some capacity during the
American Revolution. These volunteers have more databases that are
