I need a marriage lookup in the following:
Wilkes County, GA Marriage Records 1792-1832 by Frances T. Ingmire
Would some kind soul who has access to this book, or to marriage records prior to and including 1806, check for a Thomas Gollaher/Golliher?
Thomas Golliher Jr. and Thomas Golliher, Sr. were in Wilkes Co. for the land lottery. They, along with other Gollihers, drew blanks, and moved on to Kentucky. Benjamin Austin Gollaher, eldest son of Thomas Jr., was born in 1806 in

I new on this list and really need some help. I'm need information on Snowden Kirkland found in the 1820 Wilkes County Census on page 199 and William Kirkland found in the 1820 Wilkes County Census on page 168. This is the only census with information on these two individuals. each of these individuals show a male 10 - 16 years old. which would match the age of my GG Grandfather William Kirkland who married Rebecca Litton who I believe to be from Oglethorpe County Georgia. The 'Wilkes County, Georgia Genealogy' Web site has been updated. There
are several small additions, and one major addition.
**(The What's New page is not updated. I'll update it later as I compile
all the changes.)
**There is a new search engine that does not rely on an outside source.
It is contained wholly on the site.
**"Early Records of Georgia, Volume I, Wilkes County" has been added to
the site. It is located under "books" in the Online Records section.

This is a very tenuous or weak query, but you've heard about
"grasping for straws," I'm sure. My gr-gr-grandfather, Elihu
MOORE, b. abt 1810/20, possibly in Wilkes County, GA, and
son of a William MOORE, is a major BRICK WALL for me.
"Elihu" might have been "Elisha." (tenuous, weak, grasping,
about, possibly, and might have been) gives you a lot to work
with, doesn't it. Sorry, but that's all I have. Do we have
any Sherlock Holmes in the area? Anything would be greatly
apprecia
