17. Curious about "DIED AT SEA" [1]
Occasionally I see someone remark that an ancestor on a ship to American "died at sea." Is there any way to verify that information? I ask because that happened in my ancestor's family as well . . . an 18-year-old brother is said to have "died at sea." He is listed on the ships manifest.
