Guenther Schweizer In February I saw your response to the location of Erzingen. I was happy to see a reference to the place where my GGmother lived. She was a Grathwohl. I tried to write you but am not very computer literate. Other relatives are from OWEN, the Veit's. We visited Owen a few years back but never got to Erzingen because I could not figure out the public transportation to get there. Do you live in Erzingen? The countryside is so very beautifue. I have a death certificate on Elizabeth Bruns who evidently married a BRUNS. No idea who. Her parents were Jacob Hilmer of Germany and Eva Keller of Germany. Anybody know anything about this person? I was hoping it might turn out to be my Elizabeth TAYLOR of KY. This Elizabeth was born and died in KY. Dates are 1870-1924. Likewise, I have one BAUER, very little info: Carolyn BAUER, married John/Johann Peter Enslin/Ensslin in 1862. He came from Germany in 1864. I know a son (John Victor Enslin, Sr) was born in Dayton, Ohio on 6-5-1873. They had another child also, and 4 children who died at birth. I am looking for any and all information on the family and descendants of Johann Alspach born in Adelboden, Bern, Switz in 1622, married Elisabetha, died Thalfroeschen, Pfalz, Bav, Jul 2, 1705. His only recorded child was Johann Henrich (Heinrich)Alspach, born in Ger between 1660-70, married Anna Katherina Sternberger, died Thalfroeschen, Pfalz, Bav, Oct 20, 1728. His family later moved to America to Berks County, PA. From there the movement was to NC>TN>KY>IN and from TN/KY>AR/MO and perhaps to OK. Thanxx

During our research in some the Lutheran Church books in Holland, we continued see a number of names of people from Germany, some of whom are distantly related to people in our own lines. We have just added some of these names to a file attached to our home page. They are transcribed as we seen them, so there may be a few mistakes. I notice a young lady and her brother who had returned from the US to bring her back with him (From south of Berlin) sailed from Antwerp of the Vaterland. Sounds like a German vessel sailing from a Belgian port. It looks like Bremen or Hamburg would have been a more likely port but that was not how it went. Why not? Sam McFadden
