Has anyone ever run across a listing of known descendants of Charlemagne by family name? I've run across a number of Pepin ancestors in Quebec and was curious to see if there was a connection with the Pepin lineage of Charlemagne.

Hello, I am researching my German ancestors and came across an entry in the US 1880 census for my GGF. It listed his place of birth as Baudice, and squeezed into the column are what appear to be 3 letters Jis, followed by the word "France." He had two children at the time, and in the column of birthplace of father, the word Baudice appears, but without the correction/additions. Since my GGF had a German surname, I looked for Baudice in the Alsace-Lorraine region without success. Has anyone know of such
