Hello,
Napoleon's death mask was made by Dr Antommarchi (english) after request of Sir
Hudson Lowe. ("Le drame de Ste-Helene" by Andre Castelot, librairie acadimique

Hi I am trying to find the whereabouts of Beulah Farland who psted to
this forum in 1997. She posted a message about Army Barracks in
Calais. I am sure we are 2nd cousins and would love to hear from her.
Regards Shirley
Thanks for the responses!!
I realized after posting here that "Drapeaux" must have originally
been "Drapeau," then found that Google still has a cache of the main
Drapeau family Web site.
Unfortunately, the site seems to have moved. If you're interested in
the Drapeau family, you should probably try looking it up on Google
(search term combo: drapeau and fontenay) and get the site info out of
the cache before the cache goes away.
Bonjour,

John:
I just looked at the review of Jette's "Traite de Genealogie" on your web
page.
You mention that Jette included information on colonists in New France that
descended from Charlemagne. I was aware of all in the list but Marie Martin.
I dont have easy access to Jette's book--its not in the LoC collection.
Would you enlighten me as to which Marie Martin he is refering to?
Thanks,
Mike

I'm trying to help an aunt look up family tree information on the Web.
One of her earliest ancestors (familysearch.org) is Marie MEIGATONE
(born 1627 in Canada) who married Pierre DRAPEAUX. They gave birth to
a son, Antoine, in Quebec in 1646. It looks as if they and maybe some
relatives must be the ancestors of most of the Drapeaux in Canada.
Anyhow, familysearch.org shows that Marie had a sister, cousin, etc.
Marguerite MEGATONE, born in Notre Dame De Fontenay, La Rochelle,
France, in 1624, but that's th
A book will published this fall (in English) that will cover several

DUVERNOY, CERTIER, LECUREUX AND COLLERUS. Others are covered also.
If you are interested in the book, contact me.
