I am serching for any information about a Peter (Pierre) Pilet who married Louise Hubert (date unknown). They had a son also named Peter (Pierre) who was born about 1849 or1850 in Cherbourg France. He moved to New Zealand (date unknown) and married Annie Mahon on the 5th of October 1882. Peter & Annie are my great-grandparents but it is my great-great-grandparents Peter (Pierre) & Louise who I am trying to find out more about. Is there anyone out there with access to PRDH and LOISEL that would be willing to look for a marriage record for me? My Charles Denis/Denny and Christina Mahinworm were from the Moselle, Alsace area in France sometime in the late 1700's. I am ASSUMING that they were married in that area. 15. familles consulaires and non-consulaires? [1]
In a microfilm listing for families of the Lyonnaise area I found that certain genealogies are classified as "famillies non-consulaires" and "familles consularies". Would someone please explain the difference to me. These are terms I have never heard in genealogy. Thanks for the help!
