I am stuck , while looking for my gg-grandfather who was born in Switzerland in 1801, I could not find any military records for him in the Swiss army even though he was suppose to have entered the army at age of 15 and was required to fight with Neopalon and then against him no military records are in Switzerland. It was italian (the city of genoa) until 1755, independant (for the corsicans...) from 1755 to 1768, when genoa sold it to France.
