My paternal grandmother, Francisca LEON NEGRON, was born in 1902 in Ponce to
Juan LEON COLON (bo. Coto Laurel) and Maria Concepcion NEGRON RIVERA (bo.
Collores, Juana Diaz). In 1905, Maria Concepcion died and her death was
registered in Juana Diaz. They had been living in bo. Collabo at the time. I
have always been told that Francisca LEON NEGRON's parents died when she was
very young and in 1910 she is listed as living with her maternal grandparents.
I cannot find a death certificate for Juan LEON COLON.

Alguien en "cyberspace" por la casualidad pudiera decirme el origen del
appellido "Lopez De Victoria"?
He oido dos historias:
1. Lopez proveniendo de la region de Victoria (Espana)
2. Alguien de realiza galardono a un "Lopez" despues de ganar una
victoria de batalla.
Cualquier "input" agradecido,
Samuel Lopez De Victoria

I'm curious as to the last name "Corbelle" is it a Basque name? I've seen
listings in Galician (gallego, galego) genealogies but I've been told that
it is also found among the Basques.
