Tom, I have searched civil records for Carlantino in Foggia Province from
about 1860 to 1890. My search was extensive and I got to know about every
family name in the town. I did not come acrossany Di Persio's or Serra's.
This eliminates only one town out of many in the province.

Dear Mary,
By now you've seen how willing the Italian genealogy newsgroup people are to
help.
I've been to Fondi, Provincia di Latina. My own father was born nearby, in a
town that was called Monticello di Fondi and is now Monte San Biagio.
I know the region well enough (after six visits) to tell you some basic things.
If you have specific questions, I may be able to answer them.
Are they any Tullios, Ciminos or Cardinales in your family tree? These names
are common to the region.
Best regards,
Ala
Could someone be so kind as to trasnlate this for me? I tried the
translation site on the net, but it comes out all cockywobble:
Vi auguro il la cosa migliore di fortuna. La buoa fortuna di maggio e la
vostra guida.
HELLO Johanna,
I understand that a proper translation is hard, because the sentence is wrong.
You can not say "vi auguro il la migliore di fortuna", that is wrong. What
someone tried to say was "Vi aguro molta fortuna (migliore meaning best, better
compared to buono - good). fortuna is luck,
sorry, sent to wrong person. mr. jarvis can you kindly forward that message
onto Donna? I'd really appreciate it. Donna184@ncounty.net
Sorry. I've been online for hours and my eyes are crossed. Be grateful if you
forwarded it, and forgive my boo boo.

I've heard that Adorno is a name that can be found both in Spain and in Italy.
I would be interested in finding out more on this name. Also I would like to
know more about Natale. Is this a common name? Where did this name originate.
I do know that some family members with these last names came to Puerto Rico
via the Canary Islands. I would like to know more about this. Fox2198@aol.com
