Salve!
Today I was researching the commune of Mutignano in Teramo Abruzzo.
The deaths that year exceeded the prior years by 5-6 times. Entire
families were affected and lost multiple chidren parents and
gandparents. Was there an epidemis or medical emergency of some type.
The deaths were very high throughout the year, not being concentrated
in one or two months or a specific season. Thanks for your input.
Grazie tutti!

Opinion: Panacci is Canada's best porcelain artist potter
Joseph and Suzie Panacci are Canada's "living treasures" when it comes
to fine porcelain. They do not advertise their work effectively,
consequently few people have heard of them. Their porcelain-only
pottery is on R.R. #3, Brampton, Ontario, tel (905) 838-2446.
Joe is of Italian ancestry, as are many Canadians.
Seven photos of their porcelain art, including porcelain flowers'

Here is a brief outline on naming traditions:

My father's oldest brother was named after his paternal grandfather,
as the link above notes,
however the 2nd child, a son, was named after his maternal
Great-grandfather and all the other boys were named after ancestors
but not exactly like that link describes.
There are traditions but people will still exercise free will in the
choice of a name for their child.

I have seen a couple references to the book "Our Italian Surnames" by Joseph
G. Fucilla, I was wondering if the surname "Pangallo" is in this book?
Recently I have been researching the surname Pangallo and have a good start
on my family tree, but my time is limited. If there is anyone who is
researching the Pangallo name, I would love to compare notes.

Hello:
I am a Social-Personality psychologist currently recruiting

Just a little note. If a given name has a German origin, it doesn't
mean that family had (or has) a German origin, for sure (and that is
confirmed if you look at latest genetic studies about current Italian
populationn of the North). The number of Lombards arrived in Italy
were almost 30.000: it isn't a big number of peop
